Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Madi.

I’m a lifelong equestrian, hunter/jumper rider and competitor. Horses have shaped my life in more ways than I can count—and Elite Equine grew from wanting to give something meaningful back to the community that has given me so much.

Before founding Elite Equine, I spent nearly a decade in corporate technology. Coming from the fast-moving world of technology while living in the deeply traditional equestrian world, I couldn't help but notice the gap between the two—and wonder why the intuitive tools we rely on everywhere else hadn't made their way into our industry.

I kept thinking about the technology we rely on every day—smart filters, map-based discovery, saved searches, and instant notifications—and wondering: Why can’t equestrian search work the same way? That idea became Elite Equine.

I didn’t want to create another place to simply post a listing. I wanted to build a smarter matchmaking and discovery experience for the equestrian world—one that takes the best ideas from today’s leading technology and adapts them to the way our community actually buys, sells, searches, travels, and connects.

Think about how platforms like Airbnb or KAYAK have changed the way we search. We can narrow thousands of possibilities to exactly what we’re looking for, explore options geographically, save a search, and receive an alert when the right match becomes available. I wanted to bring that same sense of ease and intelligence to the equestrian industry.

That vision shaped Elite Equine from the beginning. Buyers can use granular filters and interactive maps, save searches and wishlists, and receive real-time alerts when new listings match what they’re looking for. On the other side, sellers aren’t simply posting and hoping to be found—the platform is designed to connect their listings with people already looking for what they have to offer.

A Little-Known Fact: It’s Just Me

Behind Elite Equine, there isn't a large development or marketing team. I'm a solopreneur—so outside of a few amazing interns who lend a hand from time to time, I'm running the business, marketing the platform, talking with our community, and now building and coding the technology myself.

Learning to develop the platform has been one of the biggest challenges—and one of my favorite parts—of building Elite Equine. I'm constantly learning, testing, improving, and figuring out how to turn an idea or piece of feedback into something that actually makes the platform better.

And being this hands-on comes with a pretty unique advantage: there aren't layers between our community and the person building the product.

When someone tells me, “I wish I could do this,” or “Wouldn't it be helpful if...?” they're talking directly to the person who can go home, open her laptop, and figure out how to build it.

So please, keep the feedback coming. Elite Equine is being built for this community, and I want the people using it to have a voice in where we go next.

Technology Shouldn't Replace What Makes This Industry Special

The equestrian industry is built on relationships, reputation, and trust. Technology shouldn't replace those things. It should make it easier for those things to happen. I'm not trying to replace trainers, professionals, relationships, or word of mouth. I'm trying to make discovery easier, give people better tools, and create connections that might not otherwise happen.

Because I don't think equestrians want technology to remove the human element from horses.

We want technology to remove the friction around the human element.

Make it easier to discover the right horse. Easier to find the right professional. Easier to manage information. Easier to communicate. Easier to market what you offer. Easier to run your business.

The technology can create the opportunity for connection. The relationship still belongs to the people.

That's what Technology Inspired by Tradition. means to me—and it's the philosophy behind everything we're building at Elite Equine.
