Beating Muscle Injuries For Horses Book

Very rare book and really difficult to find.  I'm not sure, but I think our company is the only company that has a few dozen of these books on hand. Beating Muscle Injuries For Horses by Jack Meagher is an amazing "How-To" book.  Black and White version.  No color pictures. It's about this: How to find each of the 25 stress points and how to treat them to help prevent muscle injuries.  It is so much more. It's a fantastic muscle anatomy book with clear diagrams that outline the horse's major muscles along with the exact location of the stress point (which Jack Meagher teaches you step-by-step how to treat), the problem the horse is likely to encounter if there is an active stress point in that muscle.  On top of that, you'll learn the muscle actions.  For example:  The Gastrocnemius muscle behind the thigh is to extend the hock and flex the stifle.  If a horse has difficulty doing that, you'll know which muscle to treat.  In other words, it takes a major piece of the guess work out of your evaluation when deciding what's wrong with your horse's gait and movement.  Another one is the Posterior Pectoral muscle under the chest.  An active stress point here is the most common cause of shortened extension, switching or refusing to take proper leads.  Knowing where this stress point is, and how to treat it, is worth the price of the book and should save you a lot of frustration and aggravation.
